Studio Place Arts, Inc., affectionately known as "SPA", is a three-story community center for the visual arts in downtown Barre, Vermont. It is a fully-deductible, non-profit (50l(c)(3)) corporation devoted to creating broad community access to the visual arts. This means that professional artists, craftspeople, hobbyists, students, and visitors can come together as a community of peers in a climate of respect, creative excitement, and productive work. SPA is committed to downtown revitalization, to making the visual arts accessible to people from all walks of life, and to welcoming creative ideas for programming from all interested community members. SPA offers a wide variety of workshops and classes in a large, well-appointed classroom on the first floor, welcomes community involvement and encourages membership in SPA. 

Editors Description
 This gallery gets the award for the most unique organization to help fund them. One of their funders is the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. How cool is that .  I would love to see the shows that inspired that connection. They must have been fabulous.  That aside, this is a community space and gallery so, keep in mind that process and craft from the region represent the largest portion of what they show.  They also show all levels of work, from high school to intermediate artists.
