Editors Description
The Canada Council which is like the National Endowment for the Arts in America supports this gallery, so its well respected. IT also works with the Emily Carr College of Art and Design. One student form the college is asked to curate the smaller back gallery for every new exhibition. This is a fantastic opportunity for the undergraduate artists to explore voice as a curator as well as artist. Through this process they learn more about both sides of the gallery process, and bring work that the next generation finds of interest. What a great idea. Emily Carr is one of the best art schools in Canada, and many of the internationally famous from Canada have gone to school there. The connection this gallery has with that school, makes them even more of a respectable force. Apply here, and don’t forget to visit Stanley Park and feed the ducks if you go.
