Voz Alta Project is a Chicano nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting community empowerment and social change through cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary art forms.

Goals and Objectives

1.Create an artistic venue that promotes cultural identity and pride.
2. Give Chicano youth in San Diego a sense of social and cultural literacy that enables the formation and appreciation of their identity and place in society.

This is a non-profit arts center for Chicano culture.  They do everything from poetry slams to theater, dance and visual arts. Their gallery is host to national and international artists representing this culture. They also highly encourage cross-pollination in the different branches of the arts.
