Capitol Arts Network is a Maryland nonprofit providing both traditional and non-traditional fine arts and high-end crafts workshops/classes and opportunities for artists to network and display their work. Education of any DC metro area resident with an interest in the topic area, through well-priced, accessible, modern teaching techniques is the ultimate goal of the organization.
Traditional arts are taught, with the newest methods and materials, and respect for history but an eye to the future. Non-traditional arts are also offered, as students' creative needs may go beyond the traditional.

This gallery is very heavy on the juried shows, and they all have entry fees over 20 $.  Why do galleries assume that that is all right if they offer a first prize. It just seems silly and defeatest to me. But anyway…….they have a lot of classes and have created several services for artists, but all of these services cost money to you.

Editors Description
Not a challenging contemporary space, but it does show work of merit.  It’s a community-centered space so the work shown is extremely well crafted and has a lot of universal appeal. To its credit this gallery takes it beyond beautifully done figuration, and realism and has intellectually interesting well-crafted work.  Community education and interaction with the arts is obviously their mandate.
